This Operations role is with a client that provides top notch operational execution & support.
The Director of Operations will work to streamline and manage the logistics, supply chain, warehousing and co-manufacturer relationships for various entrepreneurial brands in the food/beverage industry.
This is a remote position that requires a self-starter and someone who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities: Manage partnerships with existing & contract manufacturer relationships, to maintain excellence in service levels and product quality while finding new & efficient ways to lower costs Use forecast to determine in-stock levels and plan production as needed.
Write purchase orders and procure all materials for scheduled production runs.
Coordinate and manage warehouses & shipments to different customer warehouses.
Monitor warehouse finished product inventory to fulfil sales orders and maintain sufficient product shelf life Work to implement supply chain reporting Analyzing, managing & reporting all service metrics and KPIs related to freight and storage and warehouse capacity Work cross functionally with all necessary team members Search for improvement opportunities in all areas of supply chain, warehousing and transportation Find cost effective ways for distribution – work with 3rd party agencies Collaborate when needed with external agencies and other vendor parties Required Skills/Qualifications: 5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment in supply chain/logistics/transportation Proven background with streamlining the supply chain, logistics, fulfillment of a complex system with co manufacturers History organizing transportation and distribution with co-manufacturers is an absolute must Strong in multi-tasking, able to self-direct and redirect when needed Entrepreneurial minded, will need to be able to think on your feet Excellent written and verbal communicator.
Able to communicate cross functionally Must be pragmatic and tactical Ability to travel as needed Valid driver’s license
