We�re currently seeking full-time experiencedCritical Care nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White MedicalCenter Temple. 

We are a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and theonly Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. 

Ourstate-of-the-art 70 bed specialty intensive care unit (ICU) consists of MedicalICU/Cardio Thoracic ICU and Surgical Trauma ICU with an average daily census of50-65 patients receiving care by a team of top medical professionals in theirfield.  Our units feature the most advanced technology and our patientsreceive care by skilled professionals caring for patients and their familiesduring difficult times.

 

 

We are looking for RNs to work in one of ourCritical Care Units (CCU) or Intensive Care Units (ICU). 

The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executesBaylor Scott & White Health�s (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in deliveringand coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practicemodel, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinicalreasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care,managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and familylevel of understanding to provide effective communication and education,working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in acompassionate and professional manner. 

 

Our Critical Care Unit (CCU) or Intensive CareUnit (ICU) RNs work around the clock to deliver the best care to our mostcritically ill patients and their families.  Patients in the CCU/ICUrequire constant care and monitoring by medical staff.  Our CCU/ICU RNsmust be trained and educated to work with a wide variety of patient diagnosesand must be able to cope with the emotional aspect of working with these typesof patients.

 

Ideal prospective CCU/ICU candidates must beable to work successfully in a fast paced environment, utilize quick criticalthinking skills, act as a strong patient advocate and have at least 6 months ofcritical care experience.

�  Associate�s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

BSN Preferred

�  RN license required

�  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

�   1 Year of RN experience in critical care required
