BME Associates is currently seeking a Land Surveyor that will be responsible for general surveying related components of all project sites.
BME is a privately held consulting Engineering and Land Surveying firm operating as a Design Professional Corporation (DPC) in the state of New York with approximately 35 employees in two offices (Fairport and Geneva).
The selected candidate will perform their tasks under the direction of the Survey Crew Chief and Project Surveyor.

The primary responsibilities of the field Surveyor as a member of the field crew are focused on outside activities, including detailed project record keeping and utilizing proper field surveying methods and techniques.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Field:
· Participate in daily tasks of survey crew.
· Compute right-of-way and property lines.
· Research property records.
· Accurately measures and records notes and sketches of work performed.
· Collect and prepare data files for property plats and topographical maps.
· Routine maintenance and calibrations of field equipment.
· Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education and/or experience: High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred; 2 year field experience preferred; basic CAD skills; general computer literacy.
For office Surveyor, more advanced CAD and computer skills are required.
