This job opportunity is for an Internal Medicine Physician Sign On Full Time Days Direct Hire Competitive Compensation Benefits Package Relocation Assistance Potsdam, New York Seeking BC/BE Internal Medicine Physicians to join our outpatient primary care groups. The region is severely understaffed with internists so that you will enjoy a busy and challenging practice. We are a physician-centric system where you can delineate your goals, partner with other like-minded physicians and administrators to serve our patients. We have a strong inpatient hospitalist service to care for your patients should they need to be hospitalized. Productivity incentives: Based on RVUs (in addition to base salary) Relocation: $15,000.00 Educational loan repayment: up to $40,000.00 per year Signing bonus: $25,000.00 CME: $4,000.00/year (five days per year) $2,000.00/year for licensing and professional society dues Paid Time Off (PTO) Six weeks per year (vacation, personal, holiday, sick leave) Comprehensive Benefits Package REQUIREMENTS: Prefer prior experience BE/BC Certified ABOUT THE AREA: Canton and Potsdam are small, rural, college communities 11 miles apart with two colleges in each village. The primary sources of income are higher education and dairy farming, giving the area a stable economy and attractive appearance. Located between the St. Lawrence River and the foothills of the Adirondacks, the area offers something for every outdoor enthusiast from downhill and cross-country skiing, to hiking and mountain biking, to kayaking, camping, and swimming. Montreal and Ottawa are within easy driving distance. The Village of Potsdam has a population of 10,000, rising to 18,000 when its two local colleges are in session. It is nestled in the St. Lawrence River Valley near the northern foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. Potsdam is known as a center for health care, education, and retail trade in Northern NY.
