– Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurse
– BLS/AED Certification from AHA (current)
– NYS Registered Nurse License Position Requirements: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Professional Nursing (Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree) BSN preferred.
NYS RN license and BLS.
Must complete internal Nursing Orientation program successfully and in a timely manner.
Must complete annual mandatory in-service education (Hospital/Nursing) 3 years hospital nursing experience, including medical surgical.
Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Position Responsibilities: The registered professional nurse assumes responsibility for the nursing care provided to a selected number of patients.
Consideration is given to the patient’s stage of development according to the life cycle.
The scope of practice includes diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through such services as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive to, or restorative of, life and well being.
