The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai�s affiliation with Elmhurst Hospital Center, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, seeks a full-Time BC/BE Pediatrician to join the growing Division of Pediatrics at the Elmhurst Hospital.
Elmhurst Hospital Center is a member of the NYC Health and Hospitals public hospital system.
The Department of Pediatrics is made up of an urban pediatric emergency room, a busy outpatient department, Level III NICU and busy obstetrical service, and a monitored stepdown unit and a 16 bed inpatient unit.� The emergency room, a Level 1 trauma center, cares for approximately 60,000 patients per year, making it one of the busiest pediatric EDs in New York City.
We are seeking an experienced hospitalist or critical care physician to help cover the inpatient service and Peds ED.� Must have experience and expertise in caring for complex pediatric patients as well as an interest in teaching.
There are a wide variety of opportunities for program development and academic advancement in the areas of trauma, critical care, simulation, disaster preparedness, quality & safety and medical education.
We offer faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.�� Candidates should be BC/BE in Pediatrics and possess a valid New York State license and DEA.
