OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver to join our team in Tonawanda, NY. The key to sustaining our competitive advantage is by investing in the development of our employees, driving innovation, and providing solutions for a better tomorrow.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWarehouse* Receive incoming materials and products* Verify received packages with freight records* Confirm accuracy, quality, and quantity of materials received* Records information, shortages, and discrepancies on computer system* Assemble orders and pack items for shipment in an accurate and timely manner, and convey orders to shipping area* Shipping of material which includes boxing, packing, labeling, and preparation of any related documents (Can include UPS, Fed Ex, Truck, etc.)* Light assembly (including hose assemblies)* Drive vehicles to deliver products in a timely manner and pick-up rejected/defective products* Record daily delivery information and obtain customer signature on delivery tickets.Other* Assist in all Inventory Management activities as needed, including Cycle Counting, Bin Programs, and General Inventory Maintenance* Housekeeping and light maintenance of warehouse, shop area, dock area, and all associated equipment* Maintain equipment and work area to ensure neatness with a priority on maintaining a safe workplace* Provide a high level of customer service to all customers* Manage time effectively, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the team* Present a professional image at all time to co-workers, customers, and suppliers* Follow company policies and procedures* Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition, and handles stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization* Identify and escalate priority issues* Assist and back-up counter personnel as business levels require* Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and Experience:* High School Diploma or GED required* Minimum of 6 months warehouse or related experience* Lift truck experience preferred* A valid driver’s license may be requiredPhysical Requirements:* Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds* May be required to operate fork lift equipment* Ability to work a flexible work scheduleOur comprehensive compensation package and benefit program includes:* Your choice of medical insurance providers and plans, Dental insurance, and Flexible spending accounts* Company matching 401(k) with a great vesting schedule* Company paid Life (family) & STD insurances, Vacation, Holiday & Sick time* 100% tax free tuition reimbursementKaman Distribution Group, a division of Kaman Corporation, is comprised of three business platforms: Kaman Automation, Kaman Fluid Power, and Kaman Industrial Technologies.
