Construction quality control manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Plan, direct and supervise company quality control functions and activities as established by company policies and executive management.

TYPICAL DUTIES: Prepare, obtain approval, issue and implement company quality control program manual in compliance with owner contract and company requirements.

As required by quality control program manual, perform activities such as audits, preparation of company standards, notification to management of quality problems, etc.

Provide administrative and technical direction to all quality control personnel includes personnel administration, resolution of technical problems, development/approval of in-house training, etc.

Act as liaison with owner, regulatory agencies, subcontractors and/or internal departments on quality related matters as required.

Insure company standards as outlined in quality control manual are effectively implemented.

Insure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of noncompliance.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Educational and experience requirements include: Graduate engineer, architect or certified construction manager with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in related quality management work, or a construction person with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in related quality management work, required.

Thorough working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/quality control activities.

Prior experience must be on similar facilities under construction medical facility that is at least 70,000 SF; or renovation construction of medical facility that is at least 30,000 SF; or combined new and renovating construction project of at least 100,000 SF with a minimum of 30,000 SF being of renovation and facility being occupied/operating at time of project , required.

Proven ability to supervise personnel and excellent verbal/written communication skills required.

Construction Quality Management for Contractors Course passed within last five (5) year, preferred.
