Summary of Role:
This position is for a SPICE modeling engineer who will primarily workon the compact device model development for baseband and RF applications. Thecandidate will also work on the development of modeling test structures,technology benchmarking and customer support for advanced technology nodes.
Essential Responsibilities:
-
Development of Baseband & RF SPICE modelsfor CMOS and HVMOS devices for advanced bulk and SOI technologies

Development of SPICE modeling infrastructure andmethodologies.

Modeling Test structure development forcharacterization and modeling
-
Working closely with lab engineers on the devicecharacterization (DC/AC/Transient/RF), Data analysis. Model HardwareCorrelation
-
Development of models for Local Layout effects,Noise, RF and statistical modeling
-
Working closely with worldwide device engineerson the technology development
-
Working closely with PDK teams to provide worldclass design enablement solutions
-
Collaboration with EDA companies on thesimulator issues and support to meet world class customer needs

Perform all activities in a safe and responsiblemanner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Securityrequirements and programs
Qualification:
Required Qualifications:
-
Masterâs in Electrical Engineering, Physics orRelated Discipline
-
2 or More Years or Relevant Experience
-
2 or More Yearsâ Experience in CMOS devicemodeling, advanced semiconductor manufacturing process or circuit design
-
Prior Semiconductordevice physics knowledge and good programming skills
-
Prior Experience with SPICE level simulatorssuch as HSPICE, SPECTRE
-
Language Fluency: English (Written & Verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
PhD inElectrical Engineering, Physics or Related Discipline
-
Hands-onelectrical measurement experience
-
Experience in a foundry environment supportingSPICE modeling across multiple technology nodes and products
-
Experience in leading edge technology nodes(sub-65nm node) including derivative technologies such as RF, analog/mixedsignal, non-volatile memory, low power, high voltage, etc

Hands on experience with LVS/PEX extraction

Fluent with Perl, Python and shell scripts
-
Good knowledge on circuit analysis such as delaychain, ring oscillator
-
Understanding of design flows, methodologies andvariation margins
-
Excellent ability to meet tight deadlines,commitments and deliver customer requirements
