Title: Director of Application Services (Software Development) Location: Rochester, NY Reports to: VP of Operations/Technology Objective of the Role: Lead a team of Software Engineers, Architects, and Project/Account Managers to provide amazing client experiences and high quality custom software solutions, all while contributing to the overall strategy and culture of the Company.

Responsible for: Holding ultimate accountability that all project work is executed according to customer expectations Advising and consulting Account Managers on effective project management and account penetration in collaboration with the Director of Client Experience for all engagements Unwavering awareness of the health of the overall department, and swiftly addressing employee engagement issues with appropriate levels of urgency and discretion Leading the weekly review of resource utilization and providing regular reporting to the Leadership Team on the status of the department Interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding new Application Services team members in collaboration with the People Team to ensure a smooth and engaging candidate and new hire experience Establishing and ensuring dedication to Innovative Solutions’ Application Services standard operating practices and methodologies Driving process improvement within the department by identifying tools and enhancements that improve workflow and productivity Assisting with developing multi-year road maps related to the Company’s product and solutions strategy Managing external vendors and consulting teams to ensure successful delivery of projects and client engagements Driving technical competency and development for each member of the team, ensuring that each individual is on a path for growth both personally and professionally Working with Account Managers to establish project budgets and ensure projects are executed on set budgets Reviewing monthly department P&L report with CFO and VP Operations Tracking and managing departmental metrics that roll up to overall strategy of the Company How you will be successful: Innate ability to lead from the heart with a natural ability to inspire others Unrelenting drive to deliver amazing customer experiences Ability to navigate competing priorities and maintains urgency with a ‘make it happen’ attitude Ability to build trusting relationships with team members and collaborating departments Comfortable with pushing boundaries and technical limits (maintain technical aptitude and knowledge of industry) Never stop learning What experience you need: Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 15 years’ experience in progressive IT roles, including 5 years in an IT leadership position with direct employee oversight Prior agile management experience Experience leading teams that develop in cloud environments Ability to work with little to no direction and prioritize simultaneous issues.

Demonstrated leadership ability within diverse work force.

Experience managing and owning IT service delivery
