The Accounting Manager is responsible for all segments of the general accounting function.

Manages the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems either directly or through subordinate supervisors: Journal entries, General Ledger, Cash, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, various accruals, etc.

in accordance with US GAAP and any other applicable policies, procedures and regulations.

Designs and maintains operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency to ensure that the system of internal and accounting controls are in place and operating effectively.

Ensures integrity of data produced into systems and supports objectives of the Business Units and Divisions.

Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and other financial results.

Participates in annual audits and special projects.

Responsible for the employment, training, motivation and evaluation of assigned employees.

Comprehension and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

Major Accountabilities Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers preparing operating and financial statements, reconciling bank statements, and currency conversion as needed Directs fixed asset control and depreciation, accrual to meet anticipated liabilities, preparation of general tax reports such as those for sales, payroll, and personal property taxes, and payable/receivables.

Assists in the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.

Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.

Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.

Assists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and control Education/Experience Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred 7-10 years experience required CPA, CA, CGA, CMA desired Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e.

the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
