Arcis Golf is looking to hire a Private Event Sales Director for Hunt Valley Country Club in Phoenix, Maryland.Our purpose speaks to creating extraordinary experiences and forging emotional connections which provides ample opportunity for creativity and innovation.

This role will appeal to someone with a self-confident, extroverted style that can enliven, engage and positively impact employees and members.The Private Events Sales Director markets food and beverage and banquet facilities through direct client contact to maximize profits from food & beverage revenues through creating/ maintaining relationships with guests, creating contacts and agreements, and advises the management team of upcoming events.

Primary Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.Prospects for new business opportunities in the corporate, association, SMERF, and wedding market segments.

Establishes client base of organizations, associations, social and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales effort for the purpose of securing business for the golf course to ensure that predetermined sales expectations are met or exceeded.

Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce additional business.

Negotiates function space and food & beverage prices.

Confirms in writing to the client and affected departments all requirements.

Conducts tours of the event facility and exposes clients to facility and services; entertains qualified potential clients.

Accurately forecasts individual booking revenues and cancellations; accurately tracks consumption on all bookings.

Assists the Food & Beverage Manager or General Manager with the implementation and achievement of the marketing plan.

Assists the client in menu planning; coordinates food, beverage, meeting room set-up, decorations and other services requested by client; assures that all requirements are communicated and completed to the clients specifications.

Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner.

Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications: Education / Experience: College degree, extensive work experience or equivalentMinimum of 2 years sales and marketing experiencePreferred 1 year of food and / or hospitality related work experienceSkills: LeadershipInterpersonal skills Sales / negotiating abilities Socially-focused with a “how can I help you?” attitude Attention to detail Planning and organizational ability Computer skills Can work in a group setting as well as independentlyWorking Conditions:Must have open availability to include evenings, weekends and holidays.Will be required to work in fast paced environmentThe Private Event Sales Director represents the management of Arcis Golf.
