DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Department of Occupational Therapy at Ithaca College is accepting applications for a full-time clinical assistant professor beginning August 16, 2020.

This is full-time 9½ month non-tenure eligible position.

Duties will include teaching courses within areas of expertise, engaging in scholarly and professional activities, and participating in the life of the college through appropriate committee work, student advising/mentoring, and professional service.

The Occupational Therapy Program at Ithaca College emphasizes accessible and diverse experiential learning opportunities, evidence-based practice, and professional reasoning.

Students gain hands-on practice experience providing OT services to individuals across the life span within various college-affiliated clinics.

These include on-site pediatric and adult clinics, a community based interprofessional post-stroke clinic, and a non-profit free clinic that provides holistic care in downtown Ithaca.

The successful candidate will educate, mentor and supervise students within one of these clinical settings.

Position/Qualifications Candidates must be a certified OTR and licensed or license-eligible in New York state; possess or doctorate or be in the process of completing a doctorate; and have a minimum of three years of clinical experience in any practice area.

Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

The Department of Occupational Therapy currently offers an established, accredited five year BS/MS program as well as a two year Professional-Entry Level Master’s program and is developing an entry-level OTD.
