One position is open to applicants in any sub-discipline and one position is open to applicants with expertise in perception.

Both positions will involve teaching core courses (e.g., Introduction to Psychological Science, Statistics and Research Methods I and II) and a course in the candidate’s area of specialty.

The position involves a teaching load of 18-credits per year that will be decided in conjunction with the department chair.

Skidmore seeks to attract an academically and culturally diverse faculty, especially those who can contribute to the growing diversity and excellence of the community.

Enthusiasm for teaching a diverse population of students is essential.

Skidmore is a liberal arts institution of approximately 2,500 students, with 21% students of color, and 248 full-time faculty members, located in upstate New York.

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have a Ph.D.

in psychology or, if ABD, will complete the Ph.D.

by Fall 2020.

Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience.
